Stop Smoking

Effective and easy to achieve, Stop Smoking using Resonate Hypnotherapy consists of 3 sessions.  The initial session is often effective enough to stop the person smoking immediately.  You are also given support to discover good habits to replace smoking, healthy life-style options and what you can expect to happen during the stopping process.  

During the initial session all withdrawal symptoms  are discussed and a coping strategy is personalised for you.  The session is comprehensive and includes dietary adjustments, hydration, what to do with your hands, stressful situations, coping mechanisms for up- coming events.  A comprehensive plan is developed to manage the first week.  This ensures the person has coping strategies, motivation and determination to meet their goal.  You are also given an explanation of what can be expected during the following weeks as a non smoker. The hypnosis is focused on ceasing smoking, with the use of personalised hypnotic suggestion and neuro-linguistic programming, to ensure you achieve your goal. 

I encourage people to complete 3 sessions to ensure they have adapted to a healthy lifestyle after stopping smoking.  By completing the three sessions you are provided with the opportunity to ensure your success long term by looking at what you can replace smoking with.  Good actions after three weeks begin to form into good habits.  You are free to complete one session and use the follow-up sessions anytime during a 6 month period (subject to availability).

Stop Smoking Sessions

Your initial session

will require about  1.5  to 2 hours to establish triggers, alternatives, self help tools, hypnotic language, and develop the appropriate hypnotic or NLP approach.  We will include how to deal with  situations that could influence smoking and examine maintaining a healthy weight after you stop. You will leave with a file filled with information and a support CD to ensure your success. 

Subsequent Stop Smoking Sessions

Your follow-up session will involve identifying difficult situations and how to cope, a personalised hypnosis session, coaching and a general assessment of how the treatment plan is going and if it requires adjustments to keep you on track as a non-smoker.  Suggestions, ideas and information will be given to assist you to achieve your goal.
